That is strange, as you can use your UK membership card in the US Costco stores and Gas stations!
I know right. Logged in on the UK, hopped across to the US, no dice. Tried to register an account on US and all I got was incorrect membership number.
I suspect you might never be able to use your phone membership card at the petrol station as you aren’t meant to use phones at petrol stations. Some of the supermarkets have signs up saying you should only use your physical loyalty card at the pump.
You’ll be able to use it to scan the barcode on your phone, it’s just making calls (radio interference) that’s the issue.

I just remembered, unless they’re going to change every pump in the USA they won’t be doing anything with an app. The pumps over there work with US chip Costco cards only. You have to call the attendant to insert his when you turn up with a UK barcode card.

Ah ok, I’ve never used a Costco fuel station in the US, just the standard ones.
