@Spaghetti, yes as long as they used your link.

    @Gordon
, just too many quotes 🤷‍♀️

Checked out from the lounge just now, they were fine splitting the bill over 2 cards. They knew about the Amex offer as there had been another couple last week splitting it over 4 cards 😂

@freckles, yes he’s had a great weekend as we also went to the VC exhibition at the IWM yesterday!

Grumble grumble, United.com now forces conversion to GBP from USD based on your billing addess and there doesn’t seem to be a way around it.

Thankfully they aren’t abusing the rate conversion yet, it was spot on to the market rate.

Hello, does anyone know if the Avios booking cancellation fee is still limited to the cash component of the booking. E.g. if I book a flight with 30000 avios + £2, I only loose the £2 if I cancel 24h before? Cheers!

Was that way a few days ago, no reason to think it has changed.

I live a long way from Heathrow, do you guys who use that airport look for parking and one night stay deals at a local hotel or take a taxi?

Always take a mini cab. Works out marginally more expensive than parking alone. Don’t always have the time to stay overnight at he night before a flight.

For anyone that isn’t aware, if you highlight the text you want to quote before pressing the quote button, the forum is intelligent enough to just quote that bit of the message.

Great view of the fly past just now – Emyr’s rate has been the gift that kept on giving this weekend!

Must have been a good sight. Isn’t your OH into his war history, so would have been in his element with the old planes? Or am I misremembering.

Here in West Norfolk we were treated to the Lancaster passing over a couple of hours ago on its way back I presume to RAF Coningsby.

We’re about 120 miles from Heathrow and always drive. Sometimes use airport parking and sometimes park at a hotel depending on when we’re due to depart.

Interesting @davefl, works on my phone (anroid), but not on iPad.

@Davefl – Thanks for the tip, I normally just delete the text I don’t require, and just leave to remainder before “[Quote]” but on this occasion I was in a hurry!

@Gordon yes but when there’s multiple quotes it’s cool because you don’t have to faff around unpicking and deleting the bits you don’t want.

@Northernlass – Glad you had a good time in the big smoke, and you get back up north without too much trouble, not that you would have noticed, unless you drove under there, but virtually opposite ICPL, my claim to fame is that my company carried out the fit out to Hyde park underground car park, lighting and fire suppression system, quite a lucrative contract from Westminster city council, back in the days when they actually spent some money on the right things.

Have to say I’ve never noticed a car park there! But I can imagine that being quite lucrative.

Some of my photos have reflected the overhead lights in the lounge so it looks as though the Red Arrows have a series of UFOs hovering over them 😂
