Morning from the Park Inn Nairobi. Flying home tonight on BA. Does anyone know what the liquids rules are for international flights in Kenya? They haven’t cared at all on the two domestic flights I’ve taken but I was wondering if it is like Australia where it’s different when departing internationally?
Regarding yesterday’s EC261/2004 topic: I just got two flat rejections from IB, a same-day cancellation & a 3+hr delay due to mechanical issues. Same rejection email: “circumstances beyond our control”. Just lodged a claim via indemniza.me (tired of pursuing this myself): anyone here have experience with them? Turnaround time?

In my experience, you will need to issue a claim at MCOL to get paid. They will respond using a sledgehammer – firm of London solicitors and specialist aviation counsel, but neither is particularly competent. If your case is sound they will cave, potentially first trying a cheap offer to settle.
@Lumma – we flew NBO-LHR on BA last September, it didn’t seem to be any different to our internal flights with Kenya airways, from what I remember.
Also remember if you are flying J and using the lounge, it’s around a 15 minute walk from the gate in the main area!

Thanks Gordon. Is the lounge any good? Someone commented on a Facebook post saying it’s pretty bad, but the few reviews online seem to say it’s ok. I’ve got a 4pm late checkout but the flight is 11.05pm
