Good Morning from the 0330 MKC to EUS.

I’m in the old, old First Class mini coach in the middle of the carriage – big seats, big tables, sliding doors to keep others away and double sockets at every pair of seats.

The weather is a pleasant 14° & mostly overcast.

I’m hoping Rhys will do a roundup of orders at the Paris Air Show in a Bits piece next week.

Good Afternoon from SYD where we have had the shock discovery of an upgrade to F for the first leg to Singapore!

No idea how BA’s wise and discerning IT thinks a couple flying CW using Avios and a companion voucher are a good idea for an upgrade but here we go!

Morning all. I’ve done the thing before where you use the BA PP voucher by booking the outbound a year in advance and calling again later to add the return leg. Was very easy.

Is it exactly the same process for the Barclaycard upgrade voucher?

    Morning all,

This is exactly what I need to calm down after yesterday’s stress from Finnair’s cancellation! (We are heading to Lombok on Friday)

That’s bad luck! Just keep an eye on it, it might clear by Friday, not ideal I know, but if it does not, have you looked into nearby options to fly into, and travel by land or sea to reach Lombok, providing your trip time will allow of course.
Juanda airport in Surabaya could be an option if that is ok to fly into, obviously visa required.

Not yet but doesn’t look easy. We’d rather cancel and claim cost of hotel in Lombok via travel insurance…

    Morning all…

We have woken up this morning to a cancellation email from Quinta Da Comporta, an SLH hotel in Portugal. We had a five night stay on points booked for next week. We booked this months ago and they have cancelled the reservation due to a’private event’. They have refunded the points.

We have had this booked for months including flights and were very much looking forward to a few days of relaxation at a nice hotel.

There are not really any alternatives in the area and anything equivalent standard is either sold out or £1,000+ per night which we can’t afford!

Is there any recourse here? Do they have to find us alternative accommodation? Thanks!
