Hi all,
Need some advice on what would be the cheapest way Of getting 540 tier miles in 1 or 2 Round-trip flights?I only have one weeks holiday left, So doing 2 Five day flight and car packages to To get the extra bonus tier miles, Would not be possible does anybody have any extra ideas?
Many thanks for your Help on this topic in advance
If you can do one five night trip then any 140TP CW destination would do it with double TP.
Flight only you’re looking at London – East Coast US – West Coast US and return, or something like Hong Kong or Singapore via Doha to get 4 x 140TP segments.
5 nights in the canaries in club with a regional domestic start point will get you 480, then it’s easy with a domestic flight
I think OP is saying they can’t do a BAH (though this would be entirely possible within a week). So would need to get the full 540 from flights.
When does this need to be by? The nearer you book to the travel date, the more expensive it’s likely to be. Also, where are you based?
If money’s no object, something like MAN-LHR-NYC-LHR-MAN-LHR in CE/F would give 540 TPs, unless my maths is out.
Do make sure you have your 4 BA qualifying flights in that lot.
And also make sure this is a wise use of money – you’re talking about dropping £2k-£3k just to get status. And if you usually fly J anyway, is it worth it?
To reiterate. 550 TPs will cost you a lot. Especially if you can’t stay over on a Saturday night on a long haul route.
Are you really sure the benefits will be worth it?

do get useful advice you really need to specify 540 TPs before when?
What’s the point of getting status at the end of your year? Maybe do the J flights at the beginning of the next year and you will have a full 2 years of status.
We don’t know which status it’s for
Silver (hope not), Gold (still would think twice dropping near enough 1.5k to not even go somewhere for a break), GGL (probably more than worth it)
Anyway for what it’s worth OSL-DOH-AUH can be had for 1kish. AUH-DOH-CMB can be had for £800. £1,800 but they are 400TP each so you’ll have more but could always LHR to AUH in PE for 180 return then on to Colombo.
