I have searched for a good while to find an answer to this and cant find an answer, so I thought it time to ask the forum to see if anyone here knows!
I would like to use AMEX Companion Vouchers for a family of 4 (2x adults, 2 x kids)
Is it possible for me to earn an AMEX companion voucher, and my wife to separately earn a companion voucher, and use the two of them together for all of us to fly on the same booking?
Thanks in advance.
99% sure that would not be possible on the same booking however you can both earn one each and two bookings with the same itinerary. Each booking would have to be 1 Adult & 1 child.
100% not possible.
You would have two separate bookings but you could obviously all be on the same flight! It can be a pain if e.g. one of you has silver status as that person can’t then book seats for everyone.
An alternative which is now the Froggee family’s preferred strategy is for one big person to book for he whole family using two vouchers in their name which then results on one booking. By alternating you can then have one trip for a family of four each year.
If doing the above it helps to be on top of when you trigger the vouchers. You want to earn the first towards the end of your Amex account year and the second as soon as you can once the next year starts as this then gives you the maximum time to use them.
Thank you both for your replies, I didn’t think it was possible or there would be more comments about it on the internet! Wishful thinking on my part.
Looks like I will be trying your idea Froggee!
I would also like to apologise in advance as the same question may get asked again in this forum. I didn’t realise there was a long delay between submitting a question and it appearing on the forum. I thought there was an error with my first submit so did it again. Hopefully the mods spotted this and deleted the duplicate!
Have a look at Rob’s series of articles on the companion voucher, accessible from the home page here, they may well answer any further questions you have!
@froggee Your using a 241 for a family of four? Or 2 for 1 and the other 2x full Avios and all being on one PNR?

No, he was referring to waiting for 2 vouchers for the same person and then booking 4 people using those 2 vouchers together. This is allowed and can also be done online.
