Hi,
Looking to combine newly received Barclays Upgrade voucher and Companion voucher for a family of 3 booking. Been to late to Lloyds vouchers party so no experience using it.
Would appreciate advise on possible options here.
Can it all be done online? Option to do 2 separate bookings, I.e. 2-4-1 for adult and child and second one for adult? Can both vouchers come from one account?
Others will correct me if I’m wrong but:
– if you’re flying from London you should be able to do it online. If you want a connecting flight you will have a nightmare with the Barclays voucher but if you are patient and persevere, you might be able to book it over the phone. Probably for additional Avios which should not be the case but the vouchers have loads of issues.
– both can come from one account.
– I believe they will need to be done separately resulting in two PNRs.
– you will need to book yourself and child on Amex 241 and your partner with the Barclays voucher.
– Because of this, if you wish to sit together you will likely need to pay for seat reservation. You may be best seeing if you get allocated a seat with your child and then position partner nearby.
– in the event of downgrades, flight interruptions etc because you have two PNRs you could end up being split up from your partner.
– I’d bear this in mind when packing carry on etc
– But the chances are it will be fine.
