Forums Frequent flyer programs British Airways Club Combining Iberia Avios with BAEC – not allowed

  • 623 posts

I logged into my Iberia Plus to transfer some Avios earned from a Vueling flight, into my BAEC.

When I click the “combine my avios” tool I get the message below…

Sorry, you currently don’t meet the terms and conditions to combine Avios.

…but its doesnt say what the T&Cs are for combining Iberia/BAEC avios.

Dead easy with Qatar- why iberia has to be so difficult who knows!

In BAEC combine my Avios tool….it asks for IBeria Plus number and “PIN” …I tried my my Iberia password login, but it was not accepted. Is the “pin” something else?

Iberia used to use PIN but made people swap.

Easiest option is to open an Aer Lingus account and do it via avios.com – first pull from IB to avios.com / Lingus and then push to BA.

In order to send Avios to iberia:
    – account open more than 3 months ago
    – account must have had at least 1 avios at some point
    – the “pin” is your iberia plus password

IMPORTANT, I have seen Iberia systems go crazy sometimes when it comes to logging in. Use your iberia plus and a password ALWAYS. In some cases your email gets changed and you keep getting “wrong logging” messages and may lock yourself out of the account. Avoid that by always using the number as you do on BA.

I had the same problem, all your datails have to be the same on both accounts. When I checked Iberia account they didn’t have my date of birth so I added it and now it works

Unfortunately that didn’t work either. Also added my dob and checked data matches in both accounts. Held IB since 2019.

Gave a message combine my Avios is not available. Try again later.
