    I found it amusing to read the published letters in the Financial Times Money section this weekend in response to the article about the miles game from last weekend.

    One reader, Gloria, says:
    “Many high testosterone men find the thrill of the chase, trying to win the game, satisfying in itself. Many women find it bizarre that one would be consumed by playing this game”.

    Lack of a better idea, I posted this in this subforum. Apologies.

    @can2
    – having spoken to quite a number of people about this, of those who aren’t beneficiaries, most don’t care or are very sanguine like me. There were a couple, both blokes, one of whom was angry, the other incandescent. Both of them were told by their wives to get a grip! So maybe there’s an element of truth in that Financial Times post.

    Dumb quote and even dumber that it is from a woman (assuming Gloria is a woman). Many women like the thrill of a chase and winning things too.

    Yes it is very stereotypical and sexist.
    FT sometimes publishes dumb letters, and that surprised me.
    Or perhaps that’s a somewhat common perception of “us”.
