Discuss today's stories:
Hi esteemed HfP denizens,
Looking to take advantage of the 25% offer I cancelled one of my reward bookings that used a companion voucher for an upgrade. The CS agent confirmed I will get the voucher back. The points are back in my account already, but the voucher is nowhere to be seen. The CS agent reserved seats for me on the different dates and I have 2 days to “pay” for the flight with points + voucher.
Does anyone have experience with how quickly does the voucher return? Alternatively, is it possible to pay the “full” points price now, and then claim back half in the future in exchange for the voucher given the delay?
The “voucher” is just one line in your Flying Club account showing the date it was earned. I imagine the agent will be able to “see” that it has been refunded when you call back.
Presumably you called to make the initial booking?

This is correct. It appears back instantly, but you won’t see a new entry for it in the statement. Agents can see it, though. The expiry date remains the same – don’t expect any extensions!
