What’s the best way to do this these days? VS used to be best-in-class at this with Whatsapp messaging available to handle most issues. Now they have gone completely the other way, with their website making it excessively hard to find a phone number.

There’s lots of numbers on there.
I called the US toll free number from Florida on New Year’s Day and got through to an English guy after 10 minutes, I’m sure he would have helped with any enquiry wherever he was!
You can also email customer.care@fly.virgin.com. I, too, mourn the loss of the WhatsApp and Twitter service.
full sympathies, they are only open 9-2 M-F – I just did it and got through to a human, but hardly convenient!
I spoke to them around 7pm a couple of weeks ago…
Phone lines are open till 10PM on weekdays I believe. I certainly called a couple of times after 8PM in last fortnight & got through very quickly. Not sure if flying Upper Class makes a difference as I know that they have different agents for UC bookings.
No idea where this 9-2 figure has come from, to be honest – website lists it ’til 10pm, and there are different timeframes for the international numbers. Got through within 5mins on the two calls I’ve done this week, neither to the UC line.
Call in the middle of the night, 3-4am. Always worked great for me.
When I called during the pandemic I was told that as long as you’re in the queue at 10pm you will still be answered, even at 1am. BA cuts you off after an hour regardless.
I am confused about times given in these replies because I thought you could call Virgin 24/7. I recall my last call was made whilst having breakfast in Thailand so I just checked back and it was 03:46 10 December using Skype. The CSA I spoke to, whether FC or general reservations I don’t know, was able to book us a flight on AF from CDG-BCN using FC miles.

Not sure why people keep postin random incorrect ones.
UK is 7am-9pm, other country’s call centres are labelled next to their respective phone numbers.
