Not sure if this has been reported before, but…
For next week, AY is showing J class awards on BA SIN-LHR when the BA site has no mention of them.
As for QR, they seem to be flagging dates with standard priced redemptions on the app as “off peak”. So a peak/off peak calendar doesn’t exist as it changes all the time. I think thee’s a problem with how the app shows this for connecting flights but presumably they’re working through some tech issues???
AY has wider availability then BA. BA also does not sell PE awards on Finnair. This has been the case since the introduction of Avios with Finnair, it’s been reported here.
I saw that with Kuala Lumpur flights.
Availability on some dates via Finnair site when none on BA.Also, looked to me like lower taxes and charges when booking Finnair flights on BA site rather than Finnair site. Confirmed when I booked Helsinki to Osaka, and I could see that on the (Finnair) Singapore to Heathrow route too.
Why does life need to be so complicated?
So if you are in a BA household account and want to book on the Finnair site, it is going to get messy isn’t it?
I’m thinking I need to start parking my Avios with Qatar every time I do a redemption on BA thereby wiping out my family members’ balances so I have plenty firepower for Finnair/Qatar redemptions.
I have seen multiple BA LHR – SYD J awards on the Finnair app. However, the booking consistently failed at the final hurdle when attempting to proceed to payment. Intrigued to learn if anyone has managed to book one.

That’s why all family member has own Finnair account. Easy to move around avios with 10 euro charge.

This. It used to be a bit of fun years back jumping between an avios redemption and a ba one, but now you need to invest so much time in checking all the various combinations, then have the added risk of the redemption failing a the last minute. I didn’t try the AY/BA one as it’s not the right date for me, but from an admittedly unscientific two data points they do seem to be releasing seats just over a week out.
