Can my unemployed spouse get an Amex credit card? She used to work but has taken a break.
Very unlikely if she has no personal income, especially now they’ve tightened up the criteria. I suppose if you have a very substantial household income she could try applying and declaring some of that as a sort of allowance but Amex is going to want to know that she can service any debt she owes on a card and prefer customers to have their own separate income.
