-
One of the criteria to link BEAC to IB+ is to credit at least 1 avios to IB+. I don’t have a suitable Amex card and don’t really want to credit a whole flight to IB, although I suppose I could transfer them back to BAEC once linked.
I tried registering for Avios for Thoughts via the IB+ link in order to earn a few avios. The registration seemed to accept by IB+ number (even though the field asked for my BAEC number). However, completing the welcome, I’ve had no avios credited.
Has anyone had luck with this previously or used another method to earn a few avios to credit to IB+?
Red by Duffy, set up Iberia as preferred partner for Avios on duty free, buy something at Heathrow, earn Iberia Avios. Switch back to BA once credited.
Groupon used to be on their version of estore
buy something cheap and earn the required Avios.
I looked at Groupon, but it’s for Spanish residents only.
I’ll give the Red by Dufry a go @freckles. Thanks
Yes the Avios for thoughts worked for my OHs IB account. 10 Avios arrived promptly. Did you fill it in correctly? Guessing you want to buy flights on IB at 360 days out because if not then everything can be done on BA.

Still used to work for UK residents, in fact they even used to sell bundles of Avios on there, which you’d credit to IB and then get the e-store points on the purchase too.

I thought I had, just copied and pasted the IB+ number and it accepted it, but after three days, no avios, so something isn’t working! Did your OH choose UK as the country or Spain to “trick it”?
Whilst I’m not in a need to book 360 days out at the moment, it was about getting my ducks in a line for when I do! Also, I believe IB J redemptions are good value, especially off peak.

Interesting, I’ll give it a go.
