Forums Payment cards Other payment cards Curve add international card

    Hello everyone,

    can I ask if I can still add an international card to Curve?

    Currently, I have a Curve black legacy card. Back in April, I remember Curve sent an email saying it no longer support international visa card, however, it did not specify about Mastercard.

    I am now trying to add an international card (Mastercard) to the Curve. It says it must be from the EEA or the UK.

    I checked the Curve web to see if they specify any terms regarding this, but there is no info for the Curve black legacy card.

    Can anyone help me out?

    As of the 4th of April, existing customers will no longer be able to add additional non-UK/EEA Visa cards to their account. However, existing non-UK/EEA Visa cards can still be replaced but only if both cards are issued from the same country.

    I don’t know why they even advertise this feature if it’s closed to new users.

    Do you mean you’ve tried to add the card and it doesn’t work, or you started to add the card but did not proceed after you encountered that message?

    Indeed, they said only visa card no longer validated. Mastercard may still works, but when I try to add, only EEA cards are allowed.

    It is the later one, I am not sure when I saw that message so I did not proceed. It is so wired they promoted but only EEA card is allowed.

    I am not sure if that is a display error.

    OK then just try it and see what happens. That message has been around for about 2 years now.

    I have several non-European mastercards on my curve which I was using regularly until August this year. I stopped using them because curve now charges me 2.9% but I don’t want to delete them, because I won’t be able to add them again as I am now on the lowest curve plan

    @john
    , when was the last non-eea card added? That’s the issue, as using them is not a problem.

    Was a while ago. I read on the Curve forums that someone managed to add a non-EEA card after Curve put that warning up, but I guess they have stopped it now
