Tried 6 or 7 cash machines with Curve and they wouldn’t accept it. Switched underlying card (Inc a debit one) and none of them worked. Is this widespread or just me?
I’ve contacted Support but you know …….

Which ATMs, and over what period? Curve sometimes has a bit of a wobble and stops working but usually resolves itself after a couple of days.

Also – easy mistake to make, have you checked that the card is not frozen in the app?

Is it one of the metal cards? If so, I’ve heard that metal cards can sometimes be a bit iffy with ATMs.

I’ve never had a problem (yet, anyway), using metal at various different banks and in several countries. Where it has fallen down for me is a couple of card readers which are only set up for debit cards but don’t seem to recognise it as such – though that’s probably not an issue with what it’s made of!

Mine rejected in Amsterdam yesterday. Showed on the underlying barclaycard but was reversed almost immediately.

    Metal card.

Thanks for suggestions. Card settings are fine and not Metal. Tried machines over 5 days. Some are banks, others stores. The only change has been this Legacy Black to plain Black “upgrade “. I am now at the mercy of Curve’s customer support.

My Curve Black worked yesterday fine to withdraw cash. But, rather annoyingly, the contactless doesn’t seem to work since I changed the underlying Barclaycard.

That’s weird, the contactless function shouldn’t be affected by the underlying card

Used my curve card at an atm in Telluride , Colorado yesterday. No issues at all( even remembered to ‘unfreeze’it before use!

I got fed up with the unreliability and downgraded from metal back to the free tier last month. On the plus side, all done quickly and easily via in-app chat, and they give a pro-rata refund of the annual fee (not sure whether that’s widely known? I wasn’t expecting it). And you get to keep / continue to use the metal card should you wish to.
