Delayed 24hr Emirates flight

Hi all,

I was delayed during a BKK – DBX – MAN fight by approx 24 hours. We arrived in Dubai but due to the late depature of our flight from Bangkok we had to overnight in a (poor) hotel supplied by Emirates.

Am I covered by UK law for this delay?

I complained and have been offered some frequent flyer points but would prefer the cash if I was entitled to it? IF not would accept the points – just would like to know where I stand.

No . Flying into the UK on a non UK/EU carrier doesn’t offer right to UK261 compensation, you’re just relying on what Emirates offers you

Worth checking your travel insurance you may be able to claim a delay payment from them
