I always pay my Amex using bank transfer and it usually updates my balance within an hour. I paid off my balance on Saturday morning and still no credit to my account (never had issues with weekend payments in the past). I ended the payment to go through so I can book an Expedia hotel booking for Friday to use my 10% odd offer.
Amex gives the standard response of it takes up to 3 days. Has anyone else had issues with delays in payments made to Amex recently?
Lots of maintenance happens over the weekend so yours could be stuck in a backlog queue.
Try making an extra payment this morning and see if it credits automatically
Also be very careful with Expedia 10% offer. 2 of 3 hotels I looked at charged higher rates when using the Amex Expedia link
