I just wanted to get people’s thoughts on hopefully a minor issue (or complete non issue ideally).
I booked a stay at Regent Pudong in Shanghai months ago via Emyr and Bon Vivant travel for July. I have a PDF confirmation from IHG via Emyr that states 2 adults and 1 child and I’m certain it also previously showed this in the app, but my IHG account and app now show the booking for 1 adult and 1 child.
Is this discrepancy something that I need to clarify with the hotel or should I just leave it?
Pricing for the hotel seems to be the same regardless of number of people in the room, but I don’t want any surprises when we get to the hotel.
Did you not have an email with the hotel details and booking ref in the main body? I’ve never had a confirmation from Emyr as a PDF. When you then add the booking ref to your IHG account it should then just show in your account as per the email.
But I think as long as the original booking says 2 adults and 1 child you should be fine.
You could double check with Emyr!

I can see that the hotel emailed Emyr and they provided him a PDF confirmation, which he then forwarded to me.
It originally did show as per the PDF confirmation when added to my IHG account, but one adult has seemingly disappeared since then.

Yeah, I think this is what I will do.
So I emailed Emyr last night and, by this morning, he’d already contacted hotel and sorted everything with them, so my account is now showing the correct 2 adults and 1 child again.
In changing it though, the hotel did also advise that the “precise number of occupants is not critical for this booking” unless guests need “extra additional services”.
Anyway, all appears good and we’re looking forward to a good stay.
