Forums Hotel loyalty schemes Radisson Rewards Difficulty transferring Radisson points

I have been trying to transfer my wife’s Radisson points balance (a little under 100k) into my Radisson Rewards account and am getting an “Access denied” message. We are both Premium members.

    Any ideas?

    TIA

I had a similar issue last week when I decided to tidy up my wife’s 1k and my 4k. I tried to move her 1k to me and was blocked. I tried to move my 4k to Avios and was blocked. Not sure what is going on.

I have nothing to offer other than that Radisson IT is so bad that for just about every action there is only a 50% chance you will be able to do whatever you are trying to do at any given time.

I used to love its clunkiness when the IT didn’t manage to deduct redemptions off my points balance though 😀 😀

They’re definitely having IT problems. I had a notification that my small amount of orphaned points (around 13,500) would soon expire so decided to transfer out to BA.

Got the ‘invalid frequent flying number format’ error that seems to have been cropping up periodically for years.

Decided I’d transfer over the minimum number of Amex MR points to reset the timer on expiry but couldn’t even link my Radisson Rewards account as a redemption partner on the Amex website (suspect that’s also an issue on Radisson side).

Strangely I note they’re still referenced as Club Carlson on the Amex page.

All in all a bit of a car crash and the points are worth so little I can’t be bothered with the hassle of trying to sort it out.

For the Amex to Radisson conversion, if memory serves, you just enter the last 8 digits of the Radisson Rewards number.

Trying to transfer a small amount of RR points before they expire. I enter the 8 digit BAEC number and it tells me the format is wrong. Any ideas?

I was having the same problem as @tracey and its telling me my BAEC number is in the wrong format. I called the customer service helpline and they transferred them for me straight away ( +44 2830640900). it was all pretty painless. i was told “there website was still updating ” was the reason for the formatting error being received. mmmmhh????

Thanks Iain. I have some Radisson points close to expiry and had the same issue with trying to convert to BA. Good to know that it worked fine over the phone. I will give them a call tomorrow.

I tried to do this to SAS months ago and get the exact error as when trying to move to BA to this day so they clearly just don’t care.

Last 10 digits. I eventually got it to work last night. Last 10 digits without spaces.

‘Your Membership Rewards points will be transferred to Radisson Rewards within 10 working days upon your request. When entering your 16 digit account number, drop the first 6 digits and populate the last 10’

Just to save anyone from a long time wasting hold…

I’ve decided to end my Radisson journey and just called them on the number above to transfer a small remaining Radisson balance to BA. The number above no longer deals with this, and when you finally get through they give you another number to call.
+44 2031960494 is now the number to deal with this, took just a few minutes when I finally got there.
