Forums Payment cards American Express Dining credit – extended to 2025?

Any news on if dining credit benefits will be extended?

Nothing announced yet. Rob did suggest that the Harvey Nics credit wouldn’t be continuing though. At least the news that Pret is dropping their coffee subscription means we can forget the ridiculous suggestion that it would become a Platinum benefit.

With 2025 only 140 odd days away, establishing whether the credits will apply and addressing the will they/won’t they on pro-rata refunds would seem a far greater campaigning priority than worrying about when a BAPP CV is triggered!

If Amex finally does cease the pro-rata refunds, that will probably trigger a jumbo SUB offer. Can they beat last autumn’s one?

Or if you’re a long standing customer with a Platinum charge card you really aren’t too bothered by the whole no pro rata refunds issue.

I suspect for platinum the number of charge card holders far outweigh the number of credit card customers.

I like the benefits and like the car hire insurance and seemingly ridiculous upgrades I now get at Avis as Presidents Club however removal of dining credit and HN will make a material difference.

Without certainty maybe it’s back to BAPP.

Totally agree, without the dining credit and HN I would cancel, for me that’s a minimum £250 and next year would be £400 as we will be dining abroad at one the places we can use the credit.
