Do any car companies still do completely free cancellation until time of pick up

I’ve got a medium-tight connection in South Africa, which normally I would not worry about but don’t necessarily want to lose a day of our trip as it is quite short already.
The journey is just about drivable (5 hours) so better than waiting for the next flight which is 24 hours later (if there is space on it).
Do any sites still allow free cancellation until the time of pick up? Just so I don’t get ripped off with a walk up rate. An old trick I used to use was the Hertz US site, but their coverage in SA is not good.
Avis does I think if you select the pay on collection rate.
