Forums Hotel loyalty schemes Hilton Honors Do MyWay Benefits Supersede Gold Benefits?

  • 52 posts

Hi All – I’m not a regular Hilton customer, so apologies if this is a simple question.

I’ve just booked a Hilton Hotel, I am a Gold Member. After my booking for a New York Hotel, I saw a MyWay Benefit come up. A choice between 500 points per night, or $15 food/drink credit, or continental breakfast in non-US hotels.

I chose the $18 food/drink credit. As a Gold, would I get free breakfast too? Or is the $15 credit replacing breakfast?

We also booked connecting rooms, any experience if the $18 or free breakfast will apply for both rooms?

    Thank you in advance

There is no free breakfat in US hotels any more. The temporary F&B credit replaced it during the pandemic and was made permanent because according to Hilton this is what customers wanted. I can tell you now as the Hiton customer forum has been disbanded that the feedback on there when they proposed it was 100% negative.

The credit is use it or lose it per night, you can’t roll up. Applies to up to two guests in one room but won’t apply to your second room. There are dozens of articles out there if you search.

And you must set your myway benefit correctly to receive it.

Thank you. The Hotel has a daily mandatory destination charge, but in return you get $10 food and beverage credit, I guess we’ll just use that towards the second room. That destination charge appears to be per room, so maybe we’ll have $20 credit
