Flew Economy with Qatar and tried Gold and Platinum lounge in Doha with BA Silver. Wow .. impressive and not too overwhelming like the Business Class lounge. Quieter. Food good, with Laurent- Perrier champagne. Now considering only Qatar for future travel, irrespective of class.
Thanks for this – I have an economy flight DOH-MAN in December and keep forgetting I can still use a lounge as BA Silver! I need to re-read the review on here as well. Is it easy to find? First time departing DOH.
Gold lounge South is the one for BA Silvers travelling on economy.

It’s 2 mins walk from the giant teddy bear lamp (blatant landmark), and on same level.Walk towards “Gate A” signs (which will be behind your left shoulder as you stand in front of and facing the bear lamp) and lounge entrance is just before Gate A1.
Download “HIA Qatar” app with logo that looks like eight monopoly game hotels chasing each other around in a circle.
You can get it to show you interactive 3d maps that give a decent idea of where to go.Many thanks. Just hoping our early afternoon flight doesn’t get moved to very early or very late!
Fingers crossed, although still lots of time for QR to tinker around, which they seem content to do without consequence if it suits them.
Mind you once enroute the experience onboard and at airport knocks most everything else into a tin hat.
