DP: Loganair Reward Flight Change Fees Increase Nearer Flight Date

As the Loganair Avios reward pricing is still quite new, I thought it would be helpful to post the information on change fees I received whilst on the phone to their customer service team yesterday, especially as the pricing differs depending on how far out you are making the change and the online Ts and Cs don’t go into detail on this.

To be clear, these are the administration fees for changing the date or time of a reward flight, I don’t believe it’s possible to claim back Avios/taxes and charges if you actually cancel a flight, but I may be wrong. The agent confirmed these admin fees are flat rates – one of the benefits of all reward flights being a flat rate of 6500 Avios one way. I was looking to change the date of a flight in three weeks by pushing it a couple of days later (fortunately there were still reward seats available on my alternative flight).

I was advised that if you change the date/time of the flight within the following timescales, these are the fees:

– More than 4 weeks before the flight: £30
– Between 2 and 4 weeks before the flight: £40
– Between 0 and 2 weeks before the flight: £50

As such, my change was £40. To confirm, you can make the change online without needing to call, I only called because when I saw the change fee was £40 there was no information on how that had been calculated and the Ts and Cs weren’t clear. Glad I did given I now know that change fees get more expensive closer to the flight.
