Hi folks, we’re flying from Heathrow T5 next Saturday lunchtime and have some free Dragonpassl lounge passes available (from Barclays). We don’t have Priority Pass or BA status or any other lounge options.
I can see in the Dragonpass app that the only option is the Plaza Premium which we can reserve for £5 each. It pains me to pay extra, just canvassing opinions on whether it’s worth it! Thanks
Consensus seems to be that it’s not as good as it used to be. I haven’t used it for a while. What you need to consider is do you have another use for those lounge passes? If not then you can justify the £5 fee by that being the equivalent of a coffee.
The big drawback of that lounge to me is that you have to pay extra for a lot of the drinks, which makes it a harder call. You might prefer to have a more than half decent meal at Plane Food, then save the vouchers for another time.
If the choice is the rest of the airport or the lounge I would pay the 5 pound fee … it wont get you far in boots or wh smiths. Will get you something to eat and drink in lounge as well as a modicum of peace and quiet
