I wonder if this will trigger on trips starting from an airport.
My reading of the T&Cs is that it should trigger with ANY trips via any of the methods listed, not just those going to and from the airport. It doesn’t state your start or end point has to be an airport, even though the promotion suggests this as a possibility. I’m happy to stand corrected if this isn’t in fact the case, it would be useful to know.
Yeah that was mentioned elsewhere and that train trips might trigger it, even says Lime, but the link takes you to the pre book a ride on Uber (which works out way more expensive than just ordering one when you need it) so it’s all up in the air as usual depending on the quality of Uber’s IT
The pre-book prices for cars can be eye wateringly high, sometimes far more than a local minicab firm that’ll gladly take the same booking. A train or coach ticket terminating at an airport should certainly comply with the terms, however (even though the terms don’t say that it has to!).

Pre-booked Uber rides are only available in specific UK locations and Uber Ride categories, as follows – Greater London: UberX, UberXL, Uber Exec, Uber Lux, Manchester: UberX, UberXL, Uber Exec, South-West (incl Bristol and Bath): UberX, UberXL, Uber Exec, Birmingham: UberX, UberXL, Uber Comfort, Uber Exec, Leeds: UberX, Leicester: UberX, Merseyside (primarily Liverpool): UberX, Nottingham: UberX.Those are not the T&Cs at the bottom of the e-mail I received from BA. When you click through on the relevant link, you get to the T&Cs you’ve posted. Cut and paste error in the e-mail, or a more deliberate mistake?
To clarify therefore, it does seem that train and coach tickets to an airport aren’t included, nor certainly is anything else other than a pre-booked ride with an Uber car. Oddly though, no mention the ride has to end at an airport.

Yep, incompetence thy name is marketing departments and as yet we have no idea how their IT will handle the promotion. Anyone want to be a guinea pig?
I think it’s safe to conclude that only a pre-booked ride with Uber taxi service will meet the requirements. They’ll bat away the discrepancy between the email terms and those on the site
arguing that the email was a mistake.
