Searching on Virgin website for EDI – CDG, cannot find any award availability in July?
There are [lowest fare] options on KLM website quoted for those dates.EDI KL AMS KL CDG is bookable with VS Points, and is usually 4000 + £52.83 in Y or 8000 + £66.33 in J. Some slight price fluctuations in J depending on whether or not you can get the AF route which has lower TFS. But, in July, I think you’re probably stuck with a lack of reward inventory in VS.
Is there KL reward inventory?
On KLM there are 10000 miles + €49.8 in Y, 0 reward inventory on Virgin for the same week.
Yes – that behaviour happens. VS might get given some additional inventory, but don’t bank on it. Flying Blue is your best bet at the moment, I’d think.
Already have specific date booked on JAL F Class for CDG-HND, so this would be a positioning flight for me, hopefully Virgin will get some additional inventory🤞
I’ve found MAN-CDG with VS points, but the “taxes” were only slightly less than just booking a cash fare so it didn’t seem worth it.
