Enhanced SUB for Barclaycard Avios Plus?

Hi all,

Has anyone heard any further information on if Barclays might launch an enhanced SUB for the Avios Plus card? Considering whether to pull the trigger and apply for one to use for my HMRC (with Curve Fronted) payment by End-Jan, but hesitant to apply if an enhanced SUB is on the horizon for the card. Any intel welcomed!

Considering this is Barclays, the chances of you actually receiving the card before the HMRC deadline if you applied today are, in my view, pretty slim…

That is true – but still helpful to know if they were considering an enhanced 40,000 to 50,000 Avios SUB for the card which is what I am holding out for at the minute!

Just got word there will be one by End of Jan.

Just kidding. Last year I believe there was 3x 50ks? Its likely there will be another in 2024 but again, nobody knows for sure.

I’m also holding out for one as well. Need another 40,000 Avios points to get a business class flight return for the family

I’m waiting too, although the eligibility checker says I would be refused and my Barclays app thinks I already have one. I’m hoping this is because I have a supplementary card on my wife’s Barclaycard account?
