Etihad First Class Redemption – Asiana Miles or American Airlines?

I am looking to make Etihad First Class redemptions LHR to Abu Dhabi Return. I have 600,000 Marriot Bonvoy points which I can move to American Airlines Points and that gets me 250,000 American Airline points which is what needed. I have done this before.

Anyhow, I have noticed that the Etihad First Class using Asian Miles is 40,000 points whereas America Airlines is 62,500 for one person one leg.

Has anyone had any experience of booking via Asiana Miles? Rob. Any view?
