Hi all, you used to be able to transfer your Amex Points to your Carte Blanche account but this seems to have been suspended. Eurostar say this is an Amex problem. Amex by telephone however are happy to send the points as they still have a link but they are then rejected some time later (6 weeks in my case). I spoke to Eurostar several times and they said repeatedly that this is an IT glitch since the Thalys takeover which will be resumed and have no time scale of when it will be resolved. Seems to me this is a fob-off – has anyone else experienced or noticed similar?
Eurostar is correct.
As I said in our articles about the 40% off redemption sale last week, when Euorostar moved to its new IT system in October ALL of the transfers broke – Amex, Hertz and Accor.
Hertz and Accor are now fixed.
Amex is proving more troublesome.
Eurostar is still committed to getting this working again but, to be frank, they’ve missed three deadlines now that they’ve given me.
