Forums Frequent flyer programs Virgin Flying Club Exactly which KLM (or AF) flights are eligible for Virgin TPs?

So the plan is to get 20 TPs to retain Silver, doing a trip back from Toulouse to Leeds via AMS, in eco, ie 10 TPs per leg. However I am not clear from the VA website blurb as to whether a certain combination of flights will earn the 10TPs for each leg. The website talks about “marketed/operated”. Is this marketed AND operated, or marketed OR operated.

If I book via KLMs website, there are several options, eg:
    OPTION 1
    Leg 1
    TLS to AMS
Operated by KLM Cityhopper, AF8262 KLM Cityhopper
(ie KLM Cityhopper but with AF flight number)
    Leg 2
    AMS to LBA
Operated by KLM Cityhopper, AF8387 KLM Cityhopper
(ie KLM Cityhopper but with AF flight number)

    OPTION 2
    Leg 1
    TLS – AMS
    Operated by KLM, AF3156 KLM
(ie KLM but with AF flight number)
    Leg 2
    AMS – LBA
Operated by KLM Cityhopper, AF8381 KLM Cityhopper
(ie KLM Cityhopper but with AF flight number)

So the above 2 options seem to be marketed by KLM, and operated by KLM or KLM City Hopper, but have an AF flight number. These are ~£130.

If I google “AF8262”, then various web pages also say things like “also known as KL1304” (and also eg Delta flight numbers). Does this mean it is a codeshare and therefore not eligible for TPs

I can find the same flights on Air France website, in which case they would be marketed by AF, but operated by KLM/KLM City Hopper, but with AF flight numbers. Eligible or not?

Or option 3, but ~£175 fare (and leaves at inconvenient times so would likely not get this), marketed & ooperated by KLM with KLM flight numbers.
    Leg 1
    TLS – AMS
Operated by KLM Cityhopper, KL1300 KLM Cityhopper
    Leg 2
    AMS – LBA
Operated by KLM Cityhopper, KL1547 KLM Cityhopper

I am confused….. If anyone has managed to work this out I would be very grateful for your insights?
    TIA

All options will get you the tier points, as long as they’re in the right booking class. City hopper is KLM, KLM and AF are both buddies with VS, so it all counts.

I need 40 tier points for my status, and trying to decide between a return double hop to somewhere slightly different, or a cheap Eurostar to Paris through work and a J Air France on the way back.

An update for reference in case anyone else is wondering…

The 20 TPs posted today, 3 days after the flight. The flights were booked on KLMs website, operated by KLM, but the website at booking, the boarding passes and flight confirmations all showed an AF flight number. However at the airport they were using both KLM & AF flight numbers as codeshares.

Now I just need to find out what has happened to the spare 180 TPs that were left over after we initially hit Silver!
