Forums Frequent flyer programs British Airways Club Extra availability

    Hi

Mentionned on another thread I managed to snag some Avios tickets MAN-LON-MRU-LON-MAN but outbound in PE and return J with a new companion.

Now outbound I’ve only managed PE and have the miles to do J but there no seats. I am periodically checking for J availability on the off chance but am thinking it’s unlikely. One thing that did spring to mind was the extra availability using Companion which some suggest may come 3-4 months out. Obviously I have now used my voucher so can’t see this. Is there a way to check for this?

Or should I just accept that it’s MRU and I’m wasting my time anyway?

    Thx

No you can’t check it yourself without a voucher, either find a mate with an unused voucher or add the date and ask nicely for someone here to check it for you once in a while.

    Just ask, I’ll check.

at the moment there is availability outbound MAN-LHR/LGW-MRU on 5th, 12th, 17th, 19th, 24th and 26th on a new voucher in business.

    Hope that helps.

I am happy to check too. We went to MRU last year, both ways J from LHR. It is a long old flight.

Thanks, really helps. My OH should get a companion voucher soon so I’ll hopefully be able to use that. Presumably if I call up, they’ll know I used the voucher and they’ll have access to the extra inventory? Surprised by what there is in September!

Sorry if you’re aware but you do know that you can ring and make changes to your existing booking? Just ring and ask them to change the outbound to business and they’ll apply the required number of avios and readjust the fees? its a flexible booking and you can make a lot of changes if you like, cabin class, date, destination (within the rules) etc. You don’t need another voucher.

Thanks, that’s the plan. But we are flying out 7/9 and still nothing in J. I assume I’ll also to pay the 35pp if upgrading?
