Tried twice now to use them and they simply didn’t work online as they are supposed to and the staff don’t know what to do with them either despite the in app/web message saying talk to them if they don’t work on line!
At a CP yesterday I specifically asked if I could use them and was told yes. This morning it was no!
Has anyone actually managed to use them?
Yes, used them at Intercontinental Boston and also Hotel Indigo Bath. Not been able to use them at Crowne Plaza T4 but back there this week so will see if it gives me an option. Saving our F&B credits now for Intercontinental Cancun for summer holidays – so hopefully they will work there!!
Yes, I have used multiple credits against my F&B bill and worked fine. Did check with the reception as I was checking out just to make sure that I have done it correctly and they could see the credit applied to the account and hence was able to pay the extra over.
Anyone know if the F&B benefit works for room service? The T&Cs mention mini bar as included, and a load of exclusions, but no mention of room service.
@memesweeper it did work for me for room service as the credit is applied to the final bill at check out. Hotel staff can see that you have applied one or more F&B credits and they will deduct the value of F&B vouchers from your final bill.
Really hit and miss for me, I’ve had some luck but another time the app showed the wrong room number so wasn’t risking that. Reception were able to pull the vouchers into my bill manually though. I think it’s important here to keep pushing back, it’s the only way receptionists will learn how to do it when the IT fails as in invariably does?
Datapoint: didn’t use room service in the end. Did get a couple of drinks in the bar, app worked correctly, but didn’t see the items removed from the bill. Queried at checkout and the receptionist made the necessary change without fuss. I think the issue was applying the credit in the last few minutes of the stay was too late — someone had pre-calculated the bill for faster checkout. Another reason to leave instructions on file when you check in not to charge the card on file until check out.
Checked in again at my favourite Yorkshire hotel, app still showing the room I stayed in about 4 visits ago rather than my current room.
Have just used some at Farnborough HI and really easy to use. Can only use on your phone though, charges don’t populate on a desktop. This is a really good perk, finger’s crossed it stays at this rate.
Successfully used at intercontinental o2 last weekend. Going to intercontinental Cancun end of the month and got a lot to use still, so hopefully working there too 🙂
I tried using at IC Miami last week, didn’t work and reception unwilling to help. Told me to call IHG Customer Services which I haven’t done yet.
Just for completeness, when you’ve done all the milestones a message comes up saying ‘You’ve unlocked every bonus reward! You’ve done it all.
Thanks for staying with us, and don’t worry — you’ll be back to unlocking new rewards next year.’ So no incentive for future bookings till 2024 – crikey!Wow, thought I was doing well with 75 nights so far this year!
Useable at the Kimpton de Witt in Amsterdam.

You’re doing well! Just a balmy and hopefully one-off year for us.
Not just F&B rewards but Lounge Access – I would find it useful to have an IHG data base of “Lounge Access” – some CPs dont offer this facility and its not listed on many hotel websites (but is available when you arrive) . So why does IHG offer the Reward when its not 100% available? CP at NEC Birmingham does not have a lounge.
Could HFP begin a comprehensive DataBase?
Best Regards

I quite often ask the diamond chat line to check them for me when I’m going to a place … can you confirm which of these hotels have a lounge … repeatedly asked them to add it to the faq on the website which they resist instead tie someone up for 30 minute every week getting a list… we could do this en masse to get the list
I decided not to use in the end but £15 F&B credit was pricing up at $19.22 in IC Chicago yesterday.
Working fine at intercontinental Cancun 🙂
Checked into my regular Yorkshire hotel, tried to use F&B, have a lovely drop-down of my last 4 rooms that doesn’t include the room I’m actually in!
