Finnair text 2FA not arriving

Hi, is anyone else having difficulty getting text messages from Finnair when logging in? Have noticed this repeatedly this week during avios purchases, linking BA exec club etc, just seem to have to keep trying at different intervals then eventually you can get in.

Yes this happened to me a few weeks back. I spoke to them on chat, who were able to disable the 2FA. Then I could set it up again using an authenticator app which works fine.

Also happening to me today. Some chat in August on the Flyertalk Finnair forum suggests this might be a longstanding issue.
Looks like an authenticator app is the way forward – just a shame that they don’t support the one I already use.

I had to try around 10x. Finally got text and disabled SMS verification and did Google authenticator app instead. What a mess.

After not receiving the text after two attempts, and needing the Avios for a quick redemption, I immediately tried the google authentication and it worked instantly.
