Good afternoon, I’ve accumulated about 200k points with HH and I’m looking to book Hilton Taghazout in Morocco with 5 for 4 as I’m Diamond (at least until March…). I’ve never used points for free nights with HH only IHG, do they respect your status and grant breakfast/upgrades etc or is it a case of hit-and-miss ie sometimes htey sometimes they don’t?
Obviously happy with a free room in the sun in February but the status perks would be great…
Thanks
You’re entitled to all your status benefits regardless of how you pay. Also a big benefit of points bookings is that no resort fees are charged, though you may have to remind the individual property of that!
Upgrades are always discretionary anyway but you must be given (at least continental) breakfast. I don’t think I’ve ever been treated differently at a Hilton paying by cash or points.
You will get all the usual benefits regardless of how you paid and make sure to have free breakfast selected as your diamond benefit. Upgrades are subject to availability so depends.
