I have a 17:50 Club Europe single reward ticket to Turin in February that has been cancelled. BA have offered me 06:20 on the same day instead which really doesn’t work for me. Under Article 8 can I call and insist that they re-route me on Lufthansa or Air France (indirect) flights that leave at a similar time to the original? I am sure they will try and fob me off with a refund but I want a similar flight (business) that leaves at a similar time!
Have you looked in MMB for alternatives? They will suggest an alternative in their email, but you can often see alternatives in MMB under search for other flights. You might be surprised with what’s on offer
I’d guess almost impossible. MXP must be about 60 miles away; they should be fine with that if it works for you.
MMB doesn’t show anything apart from the 06:20 flight. There are no other BA or even OW options that afternoon
Nice, France isn’t too far in the other direction either. Or depending on the day you could even try for Bologna instead.
All a bit of a step from Turin though. I know MXP car rentals get cars in, in that season for families to load up and head off skiing in. So depending on where you were heading MXP might be a compromise though it’s a tedious run down from there in winter.
I was re-routed (automatically, by BAH) on AF a couple of weeks ago, and so was my OH (on request, he was on an award booking), so there’s no harm in calling and asking. MMB was only showing BA flights the next day as well, the AF re-route was communicated by email.

That was completely different circumstances and a different policy as from memory it was a same day or close in cancellation.
This far out the policy will be to re-route on BA or a OW carrier, the OP might get somewhere by calling, but I highly doubt it.
They do have an agreement with LH so you should be able to get that. No chance for AF though, only for cancellation within 24hr of departure.
Personally I’d try to avoid the connection and pick a suitable BA alternative within 300 miles of Turin and ask for that instead
Thanks all. It’s for a 3 day ski trip to Briancon and my wife was planning to drive past from Aosta to pick me up. Milan is a lot of extra driving and Nice is even worse.
I’ll call and see if I can persuade them to pit me on the LH flight.
