Hello all. I’m wondering whether to be worried. I have a redemption booked for a flight to Marseille in July. I booked it at t-355 as I thought it might get busy with Olympic sailing events. Anyway, it appears that it’s now not on sale in either cabin (and hasn’t been for some time.
Does that just mean it’s full? Expertflyer suggests the CE cabin is essentially full, but that there is open seating in ET (but presumably that just means selectable seats?).

Any insights would be welcome – I don’t want to get too near the date to find the flights cancelled given the current prices…

It may well be fully booked, however if it were cancelled BA would still have to get you there and there should be alternative options even if you had to connect somewhere.

What’s the date of the flight?

The best thing to check is the “flight status” page in the app / website which shows flights up to 7 days in advance.

Almost certainly full , haven’t seen BA “zeroing” out flights before cancellation for a good while now

I don’t think you need to worry about cancellation unless it is last minute. I would also say flight’s full. I was trying to book a flight two weeks ago but the two flights for the day I needed didn’t show and were not bookable. The flights were definitely operating as my daughter was on one and OH on the other. I looked at Avios seats and managed to buy a CE ticket last minute on the first flight of the day. Flight was full. When we were checking in baggage anyone waiting for our flight was called by a staff member to come forward. It sounded as though there were no seats available and they were asked to go to another desk away from check in. Looks like my purchase caused someone to be bumped! Just managed to book return CE flight next week with Avios even though no seats for sale.

Thanks all, that’s reassuring (I think!). Flying on the 27th July – wish me luck!
