Forums Hotel loyalty schemes IHG One Rewards Food + Beverage charges to room at Mr + Mrs Smith

Had a recent points stay at a Mr + Mrs Smith. Had an excellent dinner too.
But no points awarded for the Food + Beverage.
I seem to recall seeing somewhere here that F+B does not earn points at Mr + Mrs Smith, but I could find no reference in IHG’s Ts+Cs.
Anyone know the answer for sure?
    Thanks

A few properties seem to have this policy – there are a few grumblings over on FT about not getting points for F & B spend at the Kimpton Seafire when people have spent $000’s there! I don’t think there’s anything to be done about it.

You mentioned elsewhere having stayed at and eaten at Rothay Manor – presumably you will not know yet if you are getting F+B points.

Maybe I should try a missing points claim anyway? I did not want to do this if no points on F+B was a definite Mr + Mrs Smith condition, obviously.

I don’t think they’ve ever been fully part of IHG in terms of honouring IHG membership and status so it could be that they don’t award points for F & B. Might be worth digging out Rob’s article from when they originally joined in case there’s anything about it in there.
Points would be a bonus but we were going to eat there anyway so not a deal breaker.

I think I have now read all Rob’s early articles! Clearly state that status bonuses do apply, certain rules about upgrades, but no mention at all of F+B spend either qualifying or not qualifying.

I guess I should try a missing points application.

    Glad you enjoyed Rothay Manor.
