Currently there is this 60K signup bonus for the BAPP, and I am very inclined to get it. However, if I get it, it will mean that i will not be getting the 30K signup bonus from the gold card. If I do the other way round i.e., first gold then BAPP, I am risking that the offer of 60K signup bonus might expire. Do you guys think it’s possible to get both cards at the same time? I have a barclay premier account in case that helps, but nothing else.
There’s nothing specific to prevent you getting both, but obviously applying for two in quick succession could be seen as dodgy, so up to you how lucky you feel.
Bigger question is whether you can hit the minimum spend on both cards within the timeframe ….
By way of data point, I took out the Amex Bonvoy card at the end of June, the BAPP at the start of August and then the Plat before the end of August (to also get in on an expiring sign-up offer).
Provided your credit record is good then Amex probably won’t have an issue with it. Several applications in a short time will drop your score however (on Experian mine has dropped from 998 to 955 following this flurry of cards!).
As @Rob says, whether you can hit the spend targets may be the real challenge but I like a challenge 🙂
