I’m about to make Gold and one of the key benefits I was looking forward to was Gold Priority Rewards – the ability to create an avios seat from a cash seat, for double the usual avios points.
However, I just read about the sneaky shifting of the goalposts in the last year or two. Where the Avios pricing used is the highest points option (£1 / £0.50) taxes.
Is this still true? Given the really negative reception by BA Gold members I wouldn’t have thought this would have been reversed by now….
And just to confirm, is a benefit of a GPR booking that there is zero cancellation fee?
