Forums Frequent flyer programs British Airways Executive Club Have Avios removed The Ivy?

  • RonnieS9 7 posts

The Ivy have been on the Avios app at 5 points – £1 instore for ages, but it seems to have been removed without any warning.

I take work clients every week and use it as a nice wee earner, but now it looks like its away 🙁

Can someone check to make sure its not just me?

    Cheers

It still shows the collection of restaurants, but shows an error when you try an click through.

@RonnieS9 – there’s a list of the current in-store and online merchants on the BA eStore app or website which also shows specific branch exclusions. It does seem to change quite often with some drifting in and out.

I see they have added Davy’s wine bars, though…

We ate at a Patara (small Asian chain) on Sunday and I accidentally triggered 10% cashback via the Amex dining programme and 10 Avios per £1 from the in-store shopping programme. These people are spending a lot of money unnecessarily …..

Same here. Seems Hawksmoor also has gone. They offered 10x – £1 which is great.

I really hope it is just tech and they will be back.

Another weird thing is that the Gaucho branch at The O2 has been removed whereas the others in London remain in both lists – Amex cashback and Avios.

Interesting one with Gaucho the other week. The amex cashback posted fine, but the Avios didn’t track. Do these two offers still stack? Can’t figure out how to pursue a claim.

Isn’t the Ivy just being sold for crazy sums?

No need to inflate customer numbers now!!

It’s a very strange, seemingly over priced transaction by relative unknowns and at a very strange time, at least for the purchaser given the number of lease renewals and increasingly necessary refurbs. If the deal proceeds I wonder what the future holds for the chain the popularity of which seems at last to be on the wane. Mr Careing is a very smart operator.
