Recommendations please for a first time stay in HCMC. Will have two nights and need a twin room, ideally less that £200 per night. Although I’m hoping a lot less should be possible.
Saigon accommodation is very cheap (but not the new Hilton for some reason).
Look in District one or District three.
Adding Vietnam might have been wise. Thought you were going to a Healthy Choices Wellness Center

At first glance, I honestly thought this was going to be one of those generic Curve fronted queries.
I stayed at the Intercontinental last year and if you can get a deal or have status it’s a good hotel in a good location. The Majestic is a grand old dame on the river and full of character, stayed a few years ago, but on a very busy street so you’d need an internal pool view room.

+1 for the IC for all the above reasons plus good Lounge if you have access. Stayed last November.
Ah, Ho Chi Mihn City, one of the filthiest cities I have visited so far!
IC sold out for my dates, direct and on the usual sites. The Majestic is available but I’d like a couple of options to offer my friend.
Nikki Saigon, Pullman, Mai house, Caravelle, Myst Dong Khoi, Icon, Fusion Original, all in district one, anyone any experience ?Entry rooms at Park Hyatt can be at the 200 pound mark, havent stayed anywhere else in the city. If you have Amex Plat can get the upgrade and dining credit or book via the luxury booking link on the right hand side for similar benefits
I’d pick one with a great roof top swimming pool and excellent breakfast.
We stayed in Myst Dong Khoi in November. It was a lot cheaper than all the neighbouring properties and was absolutely fantastic. Great service and a huge room – no corporate feel at all which certainly appeals to us when travelling. Superb location and easy walking distance to everywhere we wanted to visit in the centre, but not loud (it’s not on one of the main streets). We didn’t have breakfast there and chose to eat somewhere different each day instead, so no opportunity to comment on the food. We’ve recommended it to several people since we’ve been.
