Seasons greetings to the many folk on here and thanks in advance for any information. Going to Turks and Caicos in April from Heathrow. When I booked I was pretty sure it was CS on both outbound and inbound. However, having just looked it’s clear that it’s old CW. It flies via Nassau. Is there any up to date breakdown of the current refurb status of Heathrow 777s anywhere? I understood that the probability of getting CW at Heathrow on 777s was remote and getting remoter by the month, so was surprised by the ‘swap’.
I do that flight (BA 253) but to GCM from time to time – last summer it started as CW then changed to CS a couple of months before departure so 🤞. We’re going again in June and it’s been CS from the start.
That said, on our inbound last August, we were in PE at the front and I could see that it was old CW in the next cabin so you might be unlucky ☹️
3 x 777-200s remain at Heathrow with old CW. (Ex gatwick 4 class) Info on FT suggests these will be ferried from Q1 24 onwards.
2 777-300s eft too, but these are unlikely to be seen on that route.
Conclusion: you are probably scheduled on one of the ‘3 mentioned at tip, but could change.
