    Hi,

    I’m trying to convert Nectar points to Avios but when I try to click the arrows to switch direction it is not possible and there is a red circle.

    There is a pop up to say Avios to Nectar is not currently possible but I was able to move Avios to Nectar (i.e in the wrong direction).

    Nectar say it is a BA problem. BA just have a pre-recorded message saying do it online.

    Tried linking and de-linking my accounts, no joy.

    Anyone had similar issue and been able to resolve?

    The IT around this process is notoriously flakey.

    I have been unable to do it in either the BA or the Nectar apps on multiple occasions. However, have successfully done via the BA shopping site in Chrome today, running on a Windows PC (https://exchange.shopping.ba.com/partner/nectar/exchange)

    No joy. Although I did get a popup with “It looks like there is a problem with you Nectar account. Please contact Nectar.” Of course Nectar say it is a problem with BA.

    I had this problem a few weeks ago, nectar live chat was useless so I ended up scouring twitter (x) for some help. The problem is indeed on nectar’s side, not BA’s.

    They had it sorted in a couple of hours.

    Can’t do it on nectar but can convert on BA as GG above said. No need to spend time on twit land or phone calls.

    They confirmed to me there’s currently an issue where certain accounts are completely blocked from avios transfers, regardless of where its attempted. If you can convert from one site then obviously do that, but it isn’t the case for everyone.

    If you are blocked from both sides, don’t bother with nectar on the phone or live chat. They didn’t have a clue and will blame BA very time.

    Finally got a response from Nectar (“Nectar Champions” – haha). They said my account had been locked for redemptions because of the large balance.

    Obviously they couldn’t unlock it, so they had to create a new account and transfer all my points.

    That took nearly 2 weeks, messed up my points offers and means I missed out on bonus points as the old account was shut down.

    Still not able to make any transfers Nectar to Avios.

    Such a poor service but what can you do when they tempt you with +10 bonus points on a loose carrot nearly every week?

    I’m blocked on transferring from Nectar to Avios again, due to large Nectar balance.

    On working with Nectar Help to resolve, I was told to de-link and re-link my Nectar and BA accounts. I did this multiple times and due to having had previously redemption issues earlier in the year, exceeded the 4x a year cap on linking my accounts…

    Nectar blame BA and BA blame Nectar but neither wants to help. BA tell me I can’t relink until October 2025!

    I’ve tried Nectar Champions.

    I’ve also tried linking my Nectar account to my wife’s Avios account but Nectar error says already linked with the maximum number of accounts.

    Any suggestions appreciated.

    I had something similar. Nectar chat told me to call BA. Which I did keeping Nectar live chat on hold. BA said it was a Nectar problem. I informed Live chat who then gave me another number to call……. which was the standard Nectar number!!!!?

    So I called Sainsburys customer service and explained the ineptitude of Nectar’s Indian support operation. I got an a lot of sympathy as the CS person just had their points stolen (*) and found Nectar support appalling. So they passed me to The Sainsburys Executive Desk help who called back and eventually resolved the issue.

    * I hope it gets sorted. No one should keep large balances at Nectar. Zero security and a whole heap of issues getting your stolen points back.
