I have just recently taken delivery of my first Platinum card and tried to link my Hertz Gold account. However when you click the Enrol button you are only allowed to create a new Hertz account. I can’t seem to find anyway to link an existing account?
This has been asked previously – see https://www.headforpoints.com/forums/topic/how-does-hertz-and-axis-work-for-platinum-cards/
Advice provided was: As you already have a GPR account I believe the following steps are required in order to get your status updated to Five Star:
Go into your GPR account, add the 633306 CDP, and add your Platinum card as a saved payment method.
Contact GPR support via email to ensure your status is updated. Apparently your account status should update automatically but I would do this last step if you have a requirement to rent in the near future.Post back here to let us know if adding the CDP and card to your profile was sufficient or if Hertz needed to be involved!
How do you actually see your Hertz status? The IT is dreadful (awful app, non mobile optimised website)
I had this issue too and contacted Amex Plat support. Not sure if it’s actually updated though. Need to resolve soon as I have a booking next month
@Chris-R if you log in via the app, under ‘membership’ and to the right of your points it shows your tier.
Or, via the website, log in, click on your name and third line (left of point total) lists your tier.Agreed their app and website are dreadful!
I went through this process recently but the prices i got throught the wesite were much more expensive than i coud get eslwhere ie Kayak using Hertz!

Would you book a BA flight through a 3rd party, or directly with BA?

Yes, absolutely if it was 30% cheaper and showed up in my hertz account. Dont really know why you mentioned BA, but I’ve had loads of flights booked through local travel agent in the past and just ad my exec number to there booking ref, got tier points avios etc no issues.
