Looking at an itinerary for sometime in the 2nd half of this year, loosely as follows:
HK (3/4 nights) > Hanoi (2/3 nights) > Da Nang / Hoi An (n nights) > HK > Home
I am really struggling figure out which month to look at (Aug – Dec) as it seems like there is a weather compromise somewhere no matter what. I appreciate that will be unavoidable to some extent, but any advice would be welcome!
I assume you are trading rain vs super hot weather? For HK, both is unpleasant but given last year’ historical flood. You run less risk of things shutting down due to heat. Just need to plan around the heat. Rain is more problematic in my view.
Pretty much, yes. Heat we can handle, likewise a bit of rain. I think torrential downpours would rather spoil things though.
Early-mid August might strike the balance?
