Hong Kong – Cancelled for the entire northern summer 22??

I am unable to find any availability for LHR to HKG on BA during summer 22. Certainly not in July and August. I holed a confirmed booking but no cancellation message yet. Anyone have any better intel?

The flights are not viable without using Russian airspace, with the threat of being banned for a week every time 3 passengers test positive, and with the threat of crew being imprisoned if they test positive (which incurs extra costs of having a BKK base while not actually flying passengers to BKK / two sets of crew who can’t leave the plane for 30 hours).

If flights do restart they will be weekly at most until this policy changes.

If covid defeats Shanghai, HK will probably be allowed to open up, but if Shanghai defeats covid (which can only be temporarily), expect nothing until November.
