Hotel cancellations with travel credit auto-refund of credit?

If you cancel a hotel stay inside the cancellation window and you used the £200 plat travel credit, does it go back into your travel account automatically ?

If it’s on the business platinum card then you lose the credit if you cancel the hotel stay, no matter the terms of the hotel room itself
It’s in the t&c’s. Basically you need to use the credit on something you are certain you will not cancel or you’re throwing the credit away.

Its on the normal plat card (from the recent offer).

Can you move hotel dates and keep the voucher or is it the same issue, just concerned about train strikes and dont really want to leave it to just 2 weeks before to book a london hotel.

Did you get to the bottom of this? I am in the same boat. Worried if I cancel I’ve burnt my £200 credit.
