Forums Hotel loyalty schemes Marriott Bonvoy How long for Marriott Elite Nights to credit at present?

  • danstravel 40 posts

I’m currently on 72 nights and just checked out of a 3 night stay on Wednesday at a Courtyard hotel but the nights and points have yet to be posted…

The double elite nights offer ended on Wednesday and the counter bar says closed. Will i still get the bonus elite nights and bonus points as I actually completed my stay during the offer period? – it just hasn’t posted yet.

Nights normally credit very quickly for Marriott so unclear why it is taking so long.

I am still waiting for credits from last week and this week. It seems Marriott IT hasn’t worked since mid-April on some accounts. I had a stay mid-April that I needed to chase.

They have 72hrs to post though, but for me it’s been more than that every time. You’ll then need to wait 10 business days submit the missing stay credit form. There is a box to explain where you can write all that you’re due.

From experience, they sort it out quickly thereafter.

I have had a few stays with Marriott recently. The last, a stay on Tuesday this week, posted this morning.

My last stay from 3 days ago still hasn’t credited either and that should also get double nights/points

According to some posters on FlyerTalk the system has been borked ever since they made the change to allow topup on FNA. I have no idea why introducing that would break the crediting process but this is Marriott IT so anything is possible

Nothing for me. I have two nights from checkout on 29 April and one night from 2 May. Absolutely nothing posted. I had to chase the one from 20 April too.

4 days now and still not posted. I’ll have to chase them up tomorrow.

I never used to have issues with stays posting but now it seems to happen more often than not (my earlier stay at a Westin in April didn’t post either)

I’ve only had the odd stay not post, but my biggest concern recently has been the miscalculation of points. A few have had the wrong points posted which makes me want to go back at least a year and double-check each one. It doesn’t help that hotel bills are not accessible automatically (which is weird as the app makes it seem like they should be) but using the total from the confirmation emails is enough to see if you’re short or not.

I’ve done that in March for the past 12 months. Added extra 10k points that way. I’ve also questioned them on dubious exchange rates for one stay. They quickly rectified it, but have not apologised or even mentioned why such discrepancy. I now double check after every stay and submit missing stay/points claims. It happens on every stay. It’s usually very small amounts, like a minibar or small meal missing, but across the year it quickly adds up. To be fair, Hilton and IHG do the same, but a bit less often.

Always depends on the property. I’ve done 50 nights this year, sometimes it takes as little as 2 hours, usually 1-3 days, but sometimes up to 7 days, or I have to contact Marriott Bonvoy as my nights/points didn’t post after 10 days (happened on 3 occasions this year)
